Drumming for health and wellness comes to Louisville!

If you live in the Louisville area, you probably know that we now have drumming, toning and chanting every Sunday evening from 5:30-7 PM. The sessions take place at the new headquarters of Healing Music Enterprises, 2410 Frankfort Avenue, 40206. Everyone is welcome and a $10 donation is suggested. We are having a lot of fun and learning quickly about the power of tone, sound, music and rhythm to heal, empower, and bond people together. If you have a drum or rhythm instrument please bring it but I have lots of them ready in case you don’t own your own yet. It’s a good idea to call and let me know you’ll be there so I can plan accordingly! 502-419-1698.

Self explanatory. Come and bring your songs and stories and I’ll share mine.
April 24th: Music with Newborns and Infants
The human brain grows and develops by leaps and bounds in the first months and years of life. Music can greatly enhance this. Come and learn how!

Playing any instrument or singing is always preferable to passive listening in terms of health benefits. It takes no prior training to play many drums and other percussion instruments for fun and enjoyment. If you’re interested in trying a small steel drum, a thumb piano, or a recorder, try an instrument from
Apollo’s Axes. You’ll be glad you did!

Alice, I have a 5 year old son who has been diagnosed with Autism. He loves music and knows over 100 songs. Do you work with Autistic children?
A:
Yes I do. Now that I have a new office with a large group room, I am working individually with a few children and would like to start a small group of 4-5 kids and their Moms. Music, singing and playing simple rhythm instruments is an excellent way for children to learn social skills as well as many important life basics through music.
