Cleveland Clinic Florida: More on the Surgery Grand Rounds presentation and recitals
Since presenting at the Cleveland Clinic Florida a month ago, a lot has already happened. Anything involving the Cleveland Clinic is given respect and credibility and that is exactly what I was hoping for. The Cleveland Clinic is so well-known and revered internationally that people take seriously something that Cleveland Clinic takes seriously. Cleveland Clinic is even building a brand new "Cleveland Clinic" in Abu Dabhi! I am currently talking with hospital personnel about presenting my research and my Surgical Serenity Headphones in all of their hospitals, including Abu Dabhi. Cleveland Clinic has always been a leader in the use of music in a hospital setting and they have been recommending this to patients for years. The man in the picture, Dr. David Friedman, is a hand surgeon at Cleveland Clinic and is the man who heard about our headphones at a meeting in Cleveland and immediately contacted me about getting more information. The presentation that I gave there for Grand Rounds was "Music as an Adjunct to Anesthesia: a review of the research." I am now talking with several other hospitals around the country about doing this same Grand Rounds presentation for them. As much as I love doing the recitals as well, I am not sure I can do that each time just because they are so labor intensive in addition to giving the Grand Rounds but if your hospital is interested in that, let me know and we'll work it out! Here is an excerpt from one of the recitals I did there too!

Lullaby CD and Memory Care Music now available on our Serenity Headphones
Our Lullaby CD and Music for Memory Care continue
to do well in sales as more and more people order the download and the
actual CD's. As a result, we are now putting the lullabies on our
Serenity Headphones so that Mom can listen to the lullabies while
resting and relax with the perfect music to sing to baby when she
arrives. We have now added all of the lyrics in download
format to the lullabies and songs and people report that they really
enjoy singing along. People report that they listen to the
lullabies not only with babies and infants, but also in the ICU, CCU,
emergency room, and just when resting or getting over a migraine or some
other painful experience. To see our new "lullaby headphones," click
HERE. We have also put the
Memory Care music on the Serenity Headphones so that patients can listen
to this familiar and comforting music while moving about in a nursing
home or assisted living facility. To see these headphones, click

How did music at the Royal Wedding Affect You?
The Royal Wedding certainly grabbed the attention of the entire world and Louisville, KY was no exception. Wedding music is very significant and emotional anyway, but when a member of the British royal family gets married in Westminster Abbey, you can be assured that the music will be spectacular, majestic, and gorgeous. I watched the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana thirty years ago and was quite enamored of their wedding at St. Paul's Cathedral so I was very eager to hear what Prince William and Kate Middleton would choose. One of the pieces they chose was a very famous English hymn known as "Jerusalem." This stirring piece is sung for a wide variety of events in England including sporting events. Enjoy this hymn here: View as webpage if video doesn't play.
You can find most of the music that was used in the Royal Wedding on You Tube, now a fantastic source for music of all kinds.

About Alice Cash | |||||||||
For nearly two decades, I've been helping people use the music that
they already love to heal their lives and increase their wellness
quotient!
I
am one of the world's only clinical musicologists and hold
Bachelors and Masters degrees in piano performance, a Ph.D. in
musicology and a Master of Social Work in clinical social work. I
am also a licensed clinical social worker. I work with people and
diagnoses of all kinds, enabling them to find healing, acceptance and
hope. Many people assume that I am a music therapist but I am not. I was trained originally as a concert pianist, then as a musicologist, then as a clinical social worker. I love performing, researching, and teaching and have put them all together in a career called "Music Medicine." However, the field of music therapy is much better known and has degree programs and credentialing that is very valuable and important. To hear me speak, and watch me in action "is to have a day that will amaze, educate, motivate, and inspire you!"
