Surgical Serenity Solutions Presents "The Cloud Kit"
Our company has been growing, expanding and
blossoming over the last five years and we have
achieved many of our most difficult milestones. Our
first visible achievement was the awarding of a U.S.
Patent.. The patent solidifies our vision,
offers protection from 3rd party duplication and
gives us additional credibility.
Our marketing continues
to be focused in 2 general areas. The individual
patient was the obvious starting point for us.
With access to on-line communication and the goal to
reach the individual concerned with her own
health, we reached out touching a group of wonderful
people. Our second area has become the hospital or
medical center. The placement of our products in
medical facilities gives us assurance that we are
reaching a large segment of society that will benefit from
Fear and anxiety, related to surgery and anesthesia
are debilitating. People who desperately need
life-saving surgery choose not to have it, because
they are so fearful that they won't ever wake up
again or see their families and friends. Those
willing to proceed with surgery often need more
anxiety and pain medication that they would
otherwise require. Our product/process feedback
indicates that Serenity Headphones and our music often shorten the
hospital stay while lowering the medication level.
They go home quicker and get their lives back
Our "Cloud Kit" is a major step forward in
reaching the hospital patient. This is a "turn-key"
solution for Surgery Departments that answers the
first concern we hear: Where am I going to put
those? Hospitals have tight budgets. The concept of
using music in the operation room has proven
successful. We now can offer a medical facility a
"turn-key" solution that solves the
problem of limited physical storage,
battery charging, maintenance time, and budgeted
dollars for the program. Interviewing surgical
nurses at national conventions, listening to
surgeons and anesthesiologists, medical sales
organizations, and a few great minds on our staff, we
have pulled together a complete package. It
contains headphones based on the size of the
operating room, charging capability, needed sanitary
supplies and it sits on the nurses station countertop,
shelf or where ever the local nursing staff chooses.
The "Cloud Kit" has various service levels
that allows your location the ability to move up in
customer service as desired. If a headset has
a technical problem, we will replace it. If it
breaks or is lost, we will replace, within reason
lost or misplaced headsets.
Our initial contact
with hospitals shows that they are pleased with the
patient satisfaction and staff feed-back. Music has improved
morale of the staff, as well as the overall mood in facility.
Hospitals are busy places and giving patients who
are waiting for surgery, the individual headphones,
calms anxiety, blocks other patients' conversations
and allows the nursing staff to tend to their duties
preparing for the patient's surgery
Will MY hospital have these Surgical Serenity
headphones for me?
you are going to one of the cutting edge
hospitals in the U.S. (and we’re not allowed to
name the hospitals who have them waiting for you
at this point) you might very well find the
headphones there. Four of the largest hospital
systems in the world either have the headphones
or are seriously considering them for their
patients. All you need to do is ask your
surgeon if the hospital where your procedure is
being done, utilizes the Surgical Serenity
Solutions. He should know immediately whether
they do or don’t.
of the main reasons I had the idea to create
pre-programmed, cordless headphones for the
patient was for the patients convenience. I
know that when I had surgery 20 years ago, I did
not have a lot of advance notice. I was
literally up all night the night before my back
surgery, creating three cassette tapes for
before, during and after my surgery. Because I
was a clinical musicologist even then, I knew
the benefits of steady, soothing, instrumental
music in the surgical process. My surgeon was
fascinated by all of this, and even though I
used a Walkman, connected to headphones with a
wire, the surgeon and anesthesiologist allow
this in the OR.
2005, when the idea to create programmed,
cordless headphones was born, one of my main
reasons was so that patients who were likely
already in pain and quite fearful of going under
general anesthesia, could have easy access to
music for their surgery that had been tested and
approved by hundreds of people. Now we have
headphones are getting national attention now
and I do believe that one day they will be
standard equipment in all hospitals. If your
hospital does not have them waiting for you,
please order yours now!! You will be so glad
that you did!

How Music Affects the Brain
We all know that music makes us feel
good. Sometimes it makes us feel REALLY
good, even ecstatic! Music is one of the
greatest, totally free gifts that God
has given us, but have you ever wondered
what actually goes
Sometimes, watching a musician perform
live can make us mere listeners feel
like they have superpowers. Now, new
research suggests brief musical training
increases blood flow in the left
hemisphere of the brain, but there are
other benefits for listeners, too.
Researchers from the Department of
Psychological Sciences at the University
of Liverpool in the UK conducted two
different studies to investigate how
musical training affects the flow of
blood to the brain.
They say their findings, which they
presented at the British Psychological
Society annual conference in Birmingham,
UK, suggest the areas in charge of music
and language share common pathways in

One of the challenges that we musicians, music therapists, and
clinical musicologists have is publicity.
With the internet and the world wide web, we now have the
possibility of electronic magazines (ezines), blogs, Facebook,
Twitter and so much more.
Thanks to all of the new
“social media” options, millions more people are now aware of the
healing power of music. And this week, out came one more great
article about the Surgical Serenity Solution.
